I've been making games since 2009 as a hobby and have been improving ever since. Here's a list of games I've made. For nearly all my games I do all the art, code, design, sound, music, and everything else myself.
Nearly all of these games were made in under 48 hours for a global online game dev competition called Ludum Dare, which I have participated in since April of 2013.
Fishland King
Fishland King was my sixth Ludum Dare game and the theme for this competition was "An Unconventional Weapon."
You are a hat on a dock with fishermen scattered about, wanting to kill you. So, like any sane hat would do, you grab your fish and start swingin'. Swipe at fish pellets to level up your fish, and kill all the fishermen to win
I took influence from Nuclear Throne for the gameplay, specifically its melee system, hence the name "Fishland King" (from Nuclear Throne's previous name, Wasteland King).
Button Betting
Button Betting was my eighth Ludum Dare game and the two themes for this competition were "Growing" and "Two Button Controls." This is my highest scoring Ludum Dare game so far, with a 17th in fun, 26th in theme, 59th overall, and other really good scores.
In Button Betting, you find yourself trapped, chained to a desk with TWO BUTTONS in front of you. Play through each of the challenges to get to the MONEY GAME, then bet your hands off trying to GET RICH and ESCAPE!
This game plays as something to the likes of the WarioWare series, where you are given many small challenges in quick succession, with the added element of a money and shop system to help you as you play.
Seminia
Seminia is a semi-minimalistic puzzle platformer with a twist: You may only jump once for each jump collectable you collect. Traverse through the 50+ keyboard-smashingly hard levels and beat the game for all the glory! Or.. Perhaps not.
This was a my first major game project. I worked on it for a long time and it taught me a lot about working on bigger projects. Hopefully you find enjoyment in this frustratingly difficult game! (Seriously this game is stupidly difficult. If you get anywhere past like level 40 please email me or something because that's insane and you're insane. Especially if you actually beat the game, like you aren't human. Why do you hate yourself)
Igneous
Igneous was my third Ludum Dare game and the theme for this competition was "Beneath the Surface."
Igneous is an interesting little puzzle game, which was my highest rated during Ludum Dare until I made Button Betting.
Beneath the Surface, it is your goal to guide magma from below to the volcanoes on the surface!
There are many things to get in the way though, such as boulders, water, bombs, children, etc. Maybe even magic, who knows?
Spring Crate
Spring Crate was my second Ludum Dare game and the theme for this competition was "You Only Get One."
You play as a crate with a spring attached to it! Jump around the levels pressing buttons and opening doors.
Spayce
Spayce was my fourth Ludum Dare game and the theme for this competition was "Connected Worlds."
This was one of my lesser rated games unfortunately, but it wasn't terrible. I was particularly proud of the world gen algorithms I made for the game, especially for doing it within the scope of 48 hours. It ended up making the game a much bigger project than i initially expected, which caused me to rush parts of it and leave other parts unfinished. It was a neat idea in the beginning but didn't end how I envisioned it. Maybe I'll revisit the game another time.
Dot Dungeon
Dot Dungeon was my fifth Ludum Dare game and the theme for this competition was "Entire Game on One Screen."
I was also really proud of the level gen code in this game, and am pretty surprised I completed it within the 48 hour time limit.
I took inspiration from roguelikes such as The Binding of Isaac and some others.
Ewe are the Monster
Ewe are the Monster was my seventh Ludum Dare game and the theme for this competition was "You are the Monster." (see, it's a pun! I'm so clever)
In this game you play as a ewe and run around chomping people and gaining their blood.
